Helium cooled continuous flow cryostat enabling optical spectroscopy experiments below 4K.
Enables quick sample change as sample is in exchange gas.
20 mm diameter sample space (sample cooled in a static exchange gas)
Five optical access ports (4 radial and 1 axial) for demountable windows. Fitted with blanks as standard
Optical access f/1 in radial directions
Temperature range
3.4 -300 K (with GF4 pump)
2.3-300 K (with EPS40 pump)
Temperature stability +/-0.1 K using an ITC controller (measured over a 10 min period)
Outer tail dimension 80 mm (across the flats)
Heat exchanger fitted with heater and rhodium iron temperature sensor
Cool down time from room temperature 25 min
Cool down consumption 1.5 L
Liquid helium consumption rate at 4.2 K, < 550 cc/hr
Sample change time around 5 min (sample can be changed with the cryostat cold)
System may also be run with liquid nitrogen, temperature range 77 ��? 300 K

System will be tested with the ordered pump(s) only. In the case that no pumps are ordered then the system will be tested with a GF4 pump only.
OINS can only guarantee temperatures below 3.0K if a 30 point calibrated RhFe sensor is purchased and fitted.
